From January 24 to 27, 2005, the World Poker Open was held at the Gold Strike Casino in Tunica. The tournament attracted 512 participants, culminating in a prize pool of $4,832,773. Johnny Stolzmann emerged victorious, claiming the first-place prize of $1,491,444 with a winning hand of Ace-Ten. The final table featured prominent players, including Chau Giang, Daniel Negreanu, Scotty Nguyen, and Michael Mizrachi.


Seminole High Roller (2022):


On January 24, 2022, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood hosted the Seminole High Roller event. With a buy-in of $25,500, the tournament amassed a prize pool of $2,297,100. Jonathan Jaffe secured the top spot, earning $574,085 and 344 PokerGO Tour points.
